Faculty of humanities and social science
The faculty was founded in 1996. It offers a two-tire system of education (bachelor’s degree and master’s degree) in the following subjects:
“Philosophy”, “Sociology”, “History”, “Political science”, “Fine arts and humanities”, “International Policy Studies”, “Public and municipal administration”.
Master’s degree studies:
Russian history XIX – beginning of the XXI century.
Comparative history of civilizations.
Philosophical comparative studies.
Social communication and modern society.
Philosophy of science.
Social studies theory: history and modern society.
Social studies of management.
Modern methods and technologies of the social problems study.
Strategic analysis, simulation and planning of socio-political actions.
Political management and election technologies
Parliamentarism, law-making and budgetary policy.
Political problems arising from world globalization.
World policy: globalization and conflicts.
Fine arts and humanities.

Learn, learn and learn!
Our faculty gives its students an opportunity to go onto further academic study at the master’s level and to get a double degree (of PFUR and the foreign University). They can apply for the second degree, postgraduate studies, and doctorate. Many of our students on their second or third term of undergraduate studies have already thought about their future and are getting the second degree simultaneously with the main one. It gives them opportunity to become international specialists.
The faculty of humanities and social science is an active participant of the Bologna process. Now our faculty is making a complete switchover to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System.
Since 2007 students of our faculty get PFUR diploma with the European diploma supplement, which is accepted by foreign employers therefore our graduates have more chance to find a good job in any country of the world.
Our faculty actively develops international cooperation with other Universities in France, Germany, the Czech Republic, the USA, China, Egypt, Syria and Iran.
