Research Library

The library holds about 1,800,000 books. Every year our library receives more then 400 newspapers and magazines in different languages.
We have on-line access to the academic computer database of the PFUR and to more then 1,000 newspapers and magazines in 39 languages.
More then 30 thousand members joined our library. 12 reference rooms are located in different faculties of the University and can accommodate more then 800 students. Everyone can enjoy comfortable conditions for productive self-tuition and Wi-Fi internet access in the main building and in all other branches of the library.
The library’s activity is completely computerized. The computer catalogue makes the searches much easier. One can get access to the library computer catalogue not only within the University walls but also through Internet.
In the Faculty of Russian language and educational disciplines a special library for foreign students was founded. Most of the holdings of this library are text books and manuals of Russian language and also foreign fiction and non-fiction.
Our qualified specialists render assistance for electronic catalogue operations and computer database searches to members of the library. Book exhibitions are regularly organized in our library. A permanent exposition “Area studies” exhibits books from 130 countries in the world.
